MISSOURI & EASTERN KANSAS
Both Missouri and Kansas rank near the top of the list of agricultural producers in the U.S., with
a wide array of climates and growing environments. Most of our farms consist of small family
operations raising grain and livestock. Local demand and proximity to end users make corn and
soybeans top commodities to support feed lots, crush plants, and ethanol production.
Growers here know how to manage their crops to maximize bushels, as well as defend it from
insects, disease, and environmental pressures. With our broad research network, unique product
offerings, and local agronomic expertise, LG Seeds is distinctively positioned to help you succeed.

REGIONAL RAINFALL
We know your soil types—from top-tier, high-performing acres to lighter soils where stress
presents unique challenges. We test our products in a wide range of environments to help you
maximize performance on every acre.
•
Variable soils and occasional drought mean many farms require hybrids with ear flex and the ability to
perform in challenging environments. Our agronomists hand-select products best suited to our region to
help ensure the hybrids you plant are tailor-made to succeed
•
It’s no secret that much of the region is made up of rolling topography, which can lead to erosion and
other soil health concerns. Conservation practices such as cover crops and reduced or no-till systems
help growers mitigate these issues, and LG Seeds is proud to offer products that perform in these
management systems
With mostly rolling topography, we experience erosion from heavy rainfall. Use cover crops and no-till to combat erosion and conserve soil moisture. Due to rainfall scarcity late in the season, we suggest hybrids that can handle heat and have ear flex.
Look for treatments with fungicides to combat Pythium and other early season fungal diseases, as well as hybrid field tolerance to Southern Rust. We recommend Trecepta® and Viptera™ traits for above-ground pest protection.
