This merger made AgReliant Genetics the parent company of LG Seeds, and solidified AgReliant as one of only four companies in the world developing new corn germplasm and the third largest corn seed company in the U.S.
KWS SAAT Ag, founded in 1856, is a family-owned German company that’s focused on constantly improving the genetic potential of crops through excellent research and breeding programs. KWS operates in 70 countries worldwide developing high-performance seeds for corn, sugarbeet, cereals, rapeseed, sunflowers, soybeans, catch crops, and more. This diversity allows for the development of portfolios with a wide range of products that meet the most diverse requirements in temperate and tropical climates and enable balanced crop rotation.
Groupe Limagrain is a farmer-owned co-op based in France with business ventures that touch nearly all areas of the globe. With more than 100 research centers around the world, the co-op is centered on developing innovative solutions in field seeds, fruit and vegetable seeds, rapeseed and functional grains to achieve better agronomic and environmental production. With nearly 1,500 farmer owners that serve as partners, suppliers and customers of the cooperative, Groupe Limagrain is a company of farmers working for farmers.
